There are over 3,000 developmentally disabled individuals within 30 miles of camp. This is a clear need that we have been able to begin meeting unlike anyone else. Shepherds Camp continues to grow and we now offer SIX weeks of summer camps with two week-long sessions, and TWO weekend retreats.

It is our passion and purpose to IMPACT our staff through discipleship – in their work ethic, teamwork skills, personal abilities, leadership opportunities, and personal relationship with God.

Camp is a temporary community full of loving and caring relationships. Relationships for a time and in a place that are outside of the normal routine. You can’t find this kind of community anywhere else.

Invest in the Impact of Shepherds Camp

Shepherds Camp continues to grow in many ways each year. We believe God is calling Shepherds Camp to become a premiere camp for teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities. Thus, is it our desire to have the IMPACT of Shepherds Camp continue to increase.

Our IMPACT will increase in the areas of CAMPERS, STAFF, and the CAMP SETTING - - in three significant ways: Community, Calendar, and Cabins.

Community: Our desire is to IMPACT the community not just by bringing people to camp…but by us going out into the community.

Calendar: In 2006 we expanded our calendar from four weeks of Shepherds Camp to six weeks. The additional two weeks are already half full and we are looking forward to expanding to eight weeks in the near future. We are also excited about the growing need to offer additional weekend retreats throughout the year.

Cabins: IMPACT 2009 is being marked by our endeavor to replace our 15 cabin campers with eight brand new cabins which will be a huge step towards becoming a premiere camp for disabled individuals.

Foundations Club:

You can make a significant investment towards IMPACT 2009 by joining the Foundations Club. The Foundations Club is a tangible link between our founding date, 1945 and the future of Shepherds Camp. Foundation Club members are asked to make an investment of $1,945 each year for three years.

Our eight New Camper Cabins are estimated at $1 million dollars.
Our goal is to complete the project within the next 5 years.
† With the Foundations Club alone…we only need 171 club members
Over the next 5 years that’s 34 members per year.
That’s only 3 new club members joining each month.
The first 21 club members will complete our first New Camper Cabin
