Shepherds Camp Staff

Ben Myers has been serving as Camp Manager at Arrowhead Bible Camp for over eight years. Ben oversees facility and program operations, staff recruitment, supervision and discipleship. Serving alongside Ben is his wife Kelly and daughter Natalie.

Ben has a bachelor's degree from Philadelphia Biblical University and is currently working on his master's degree in education from Baptist Bible Graduate School.

Program Manager - Sadie Engle

As the newest full time member of the Arrowhead family, Sadie brings with her over six years of experience with Arrowhead and our Shepherds Camp program. Sadie first started at Arrowhead as a counselor for Shepherds Camp. From 2001 - 2004 she also served as our staff supervisor and in various roles on our program staff.

As Program Manager, Sadie oversees all aspects of our Shepherds Camp programming. We are excited to have her at the forefront of the continued growth and expansion of Shepherds Camp. She will also be striving to enhance the effectiveness of our guest services, staffing and James Project ministry.

We are delighted by the abilities and experience Sadie brings to the ministry. She holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Kutztown University. For the past three years Sadie has worked in a Lancaster County (PA) group home serving a young lady with multiple disabilities. Sadie was also employed by Lancaster/Lebanon IU13 in a life skills and emotional support classroom. It is with her experience and a great love for individuals with developmental disabilities that Sadie has made the move to serve here at Arrowhead.

Medical Staff
Our Health Director and Camp Nurses are Pennsylvania certified. The Health Director oversees all aspects of the quality medical care given at Shepherds Camp.

Shepherds Camp is staffed by a Health Director - Registered Nurse available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The Camp Nurses dispense all medication (including PRN meds) and provide first aid or other medical care as needed.

Counselors and Program Staff
Each camper is cared for by a well-trained and dedicated counselor who is directly responsible for no more than five individuals. The counselor stays with the campers all day and provides daily personal care assistance, and becomes a great friend to each camper. Each counselor receives special training on working with individuals with special needs as well as certification in First Aid.

Our program staff includes Activities Leaders and Lifeguards who provide a wide range of creative activities for the campers. Each activity is suited for the ability of each individual, so everyone can gain a feeling of success and challenge.
A fully certified Lifeguard is on duty whenever the waterfront is open. The lifeguard is assisted by many other staff members who closely supervise the waterfront, keeping a low camper-to-staff ratio to insure the enjoyment and safety of everyone at the water.
